Dr. LaMarcus Miller, professionally known as Dr. L, is a dynamic vocalist, vocal technician, music supervisor, and educator whose work spans classical, jazz, and contemporary genres. He has performed at iconic venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Jazz at Lincoln Center with Wynton Marsalis, and the Dolby Theatre as a guest soloist for Final Fantasy XIV. His collaborations include working alongside jazz luminaries like Esperanza Spalding and Wayne Shorter on their Jazz Opera Iphigenia. As a professor at Berklee College of Music, Dr. L teaches contemporary voice, music licensing, and leads creative and administrative workforce development initiatives with Career Development at Berklee.
In his role as a music supervisor/Music Clearance coordinator, Dr. L has contributed to acclaimed projects including The Wonder Years seasons 1 & 2 Dave , RapCaviar Presents, The Life and Times of the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers, Everything's Gonna Be All White, Running While Black, Jim Henson’s Idea man Documentary for Disney & most recently Big Dreams Little League world Series. He also previoulsy played a pivotal leadership role as Head of Operations for the Guild of Music Supervisors, producing landmark events such as the ‘50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop’ conference featuring icons like Chuck D and Salt-N-Pepa. Dr. L continues to push boundaries in music supervision, education, and vocal artistry, blending creative expertise with industry acumen to shape contemporary music culture.
